What’s New on Amazon: Holiday Return Window is Here and Sooner Than You Think

What’s New on Amazon: Holiday Return Window is Here and Sooner Than You Think

Quarter 4 is finally here and we hope it is off to a great start with Prime Day kicking off as of yesterday.

Now that it is Q4, it is important to keep the Q4 return window in mind because it does change during this time in order to accommodate customers.

With the addition of Prime Day, Amazon has made the return window even longer than what we are used to. This year’s return policy covers all purchases made from 10/1-12/31, and all items purchased during that window can be returned through January 31, 2021.

It is important to note that this policy covers FBA and FBM orders but the rules can vary from category to category. You can see the return deadline for specific categories that have different windows on our Returns Help page.

If you have questions about this update or questions about Q4, please reach out to our team by heading to TurnKeyProductManagement.com/talk!

What’s New on Amazon: It’s been announced… are you ready?

What’s New on Amazon: It’s been announced… are you ready?

Prime Day has officially been announced!

This year Prime Day will be October 13th and 14th and the big question is… are you ready? Prime Day is the biggest day of the year for sellers so it is important that you are prepared and getting your products out there for your customers!

For Prime Day we suggest you do the following:

  • Run a promotion offering a minimum 20% off, and we suggest running money off coupon clipping since they have shown to convert higher
  • Email your email list the day before, the day of, and the day the promotion is going to end. Keep your email list in the know and let them know about the different promotional opportunities you are offering.
  • Post on social media organically letting your followers know that you are having a killer deal. It is best to do this with an infographic.
  • Use your Amazon customer lists to run Facebook ads to your past customers advertising the deals you have running

When was the last time you looked at your Amazon Storefront?

Your Amazon Storefront is a fun place to express your brand and give your customers more information on the product. With limited places to educate the customer, it is important that you take advantage of new opportunities that come from the Storefront.

Recently Amazon came out with a new feature called Store Versions. Through Store Versions, you are able to make multiple storefront versions that you can use during specific time periods.

Here is how you execute it:

To create a new version of an existing Store and to schedule it:

  • Click the Version drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  • Click Create new version.
  • Enter a name for the new version.
  • Select an existing version to use as a starting point for the new version.
  • Note: The existing version won’t be affected.
  • Click Create version.
  • Wait until the new version is created.
  • Click Edit now to make changes to the new version. Learn about editing Stores here.
  • When you’re done editing, click Submit for publishing on the top-right corner.
  • Note: The new version will be reviewed. This process can take up to 24 hours. Learn about Store’s moderation here.
  • Select the start and end date for your new version.

What’s New on Amazon: New Addition to A/B Testing!

What’s New on Amazon: New Addition to A/B Testing!

Have you ever wanted to run a split test on your listing but didn’t want to invest in a split testing software?

When it comes to split testing, there has always been one or two options. The first is investing in a split testing software which of course has a monthly charge that doesn’t fit into everyone’s bottom line. Then, there is always the manual way of split testing where you track your own results as you complete split tests, but that is incredibly time consuming and of course isn’t as accurate.

The good news is that now Amazon is expanding their A/B testing to now include split testing your listing title and split testing your A+ Content!

Here are our best practices for split testing a listing title:

  • Do not split test the title if you are already split testing other aspects of the listing. It is called A/B testing for a reason. Mixing two different tests potentially skews the data and makes it challenging to determine the ultimate reason why we ended up with certain data.
  • When split testing the title, consider split testing the following:
    • New keyword additions. The number one spot for keywords is in the title, so your higher frequency terms should always be in there
    • Keyword order. The order of keywords DOES matter and keywords with higher search volume should be towards the front of the title
    • Benefit additions and changes. All products have different benefiting factors. You can adjust the benefits you have in your title or add in new benefits to see if that converts better
    • Brand name location. A common question is where should you place your  brand name in the title. Personally, our team likes to see it at  the front of the title BUT every brand is different, so this is worth a test if you are questioning the location of your brand name
  • Do not split test during peak times! We suggest this for a few reasons:
    • First, this can really skew the data. You will get higher traffic on these days which can give the test an unfair advantage and skewed data results
    • In addition to that, the peak times are when we see the most traffic so it is important that you are not altering your ranking or indexing due to external factors. Stick with what is already working for you during peak times and test at other times of the month.

Split testing is a super strong strategy that has the potential to increase your conversions, ranking, and overall indexing which is why it is important to test critical factors to see which converts best.
